Dr Amit Gupta completed his MBBS from Terna Medical College, Navi Mumbai and MS (General Surgery) from the KIMS Hospital, Bangalore. Due to his dedication both academically and in Extra-curricular activities, he was conferred with the “Best student award” at Terna Medical College and Shri C Balagopal Memorial Medal for securing first rank in MS (General Surgery). With a zeal and commitment to excel in the field of oncology, he went on to pursue superspecilization – M.Ch. (Surgical Oncology degree from the very prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
He worked with Tata Memorial Hospital for over a decade in the Department of Surgical Oncology including fellowship in thoracic and breast oncology. He even served as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology with Tata Memorial Hospital. His passion & pursuit to excel and gain advance knowledge in GI HPB, led him to continue with his journey at Tata Memorial Hospital pursuing 2 years Post Doctoral Certified Fellowship in Gastrointestinal HPB (Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas, Stomach) and Retroperitoneal Oncosurgery under the able guidance of Dr. (Prof) Shailesh Vinayak Shrikhande and Dr. (Prof) Mahesh Goel.
Dr Amit M. Gupta has extensive study and high volume practice in the field of complex Gastrointestinal HPB, Colorectal, Retroperitoneal and Thoracic Oncology for over a decade. His surgical expertise are in Supra Major Gastrointestinal Oncological Procedures including cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermia intraperitoneal chemotherapy ( HIPEC).
