Dr. Seema Naxane

Dr. Seema Naxane (Gavali) is the first lady Interventional Cardiologist of North Maharashtra. She completed her MBBS from Seth G.S Medical College and KEM HOSPITAL Mumbai. Later she specialised in Internal medicine ( MD Medicine) from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J.Group of Hospitals in Mumbai. She then completed her cardiology training ( DM cardiology) from the prestigious department of cardiology at KEM HOSPITAL Mumbai in 2013 and worked there for an additional year when she gained vast experience in the field of cardiology including Interventional Cardiology. She also worked as Assistant professor in the Department of Cardiology at SBKS Medical College and Sumandeep Vidyapeeth at Vadodara for 4 years.

Over a period of last 10 years she has performed a large number of Coronary Angiographies and Coronary Angioplasties ,both simple and complex including primary angioplasty during an acute heart attack via both radial and femoral routes. She also carries expertise in performing Balloon valvuloplasties, Permanent Pacemaker Insertion and device closures for ‘Holes in the Heart’. She has special interest in paediatric cardiology with vast experience in Neonatal and Paediatric Echocardiography and she is well versed with paediatric interventions.
