He earned his MBBS from Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre in Pune, followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College. Dr. Shah further honed his expertise through specialized neurology training at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai.
