About “Dr. Prabhakar Shetty”
Dr. Prabhakar Shetty received his medical degree with honours from the prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He completed his postgraduate studies in Respiratory Medicine from University of Mumbai, India in 2004. Following this he continued his further studies from UK, where initially he was a Fellow in Intensive care at the John Farman Intensive Care Unit, Addenbrookes NHS Hospital, Cambridge. In 2005 he completed his MRCP training in Emergency Medicine and Pulmonology from the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, UK. He also received advanced training in Sleep Medicine from Sheffield and Edinburgh in UK.
Dr. Shetty has presented numerous papers at national and international meetings, and has received numerous awards for his research presentations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Shetty is a recognized expert in all facets of respiratory medicine and Intensive Care with a keen interest in Sleep Apnea and Non-invasive ventilation. He has also been an active clinical researcher in the area of Allergy, Interstitial Lung Disease, Obstructive Airways Disease and Tuberculosis. He has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international meetings, and he is a well-recognized faculty in numerous sleep and interventional bronchoscopy workshops.
